This is a well deserved award.
Caroline has made a significant personal contribution to the work of the AUA. She has served successfully as the BC at Oxford Brookes University and has hosted regional events for the Midlands West region.
She has been an active member of the Membership and Communications Committee and provided invaluable assistance in the delivery of the two recent BC Development Events at the 2006 and 2007 Annual Conferences – the 2006 “Business Game” and the 2007 “Action Planning Forum”, both highly successful.
Caroline has played a significant role in the promotion of the PgCert in Professional Practice. She was amongst the first graduates and she has become a mentor to other participants on the programme. She has also promoted the programme through articles in Newslink and took part in the OU validation process. Having been admitted to the Loughborough University DMS programme, with credit in respect of her Pg Cert award, Caroline serves as a role model to other participants seeking to pursue their experience of study on management programmes and to utilise their Pg Cert to obtain academic credit within the HE sector.
In terms of a personal contribution to the development of the management and administration of HE, Caroline has approximately 20 years of experience within the sector. She has sought to obtain many different experiences, working in different roles and in different areas within the HE environment. Caroline has sought to maximise the potential opportunities available to her within her different roles to promote the development of good management and administrative practice. In her more recent roles, Caroline has been in a position where she has been able to introduce new administrative systems and processes within the areas she manages, with positive effect.
Finally, Caroline has demonstrated a personal commitment to life-long learning, as evidenced by regular attendance at annual conference, the annual lecture, ad-hoc conferences, seminars and workshops.
