Does anyone have clear definitions of the above that they use within their institution, or are you aware of an "official" website where this is stated.
Thanks for your help.

I suppose that depends upon your understanding of "clear". We keep things relatively simple, using the definitions below - plus further explanations for things like B/MEng, MMath and so on.
I'm not aware of any website that provides an authoritative statement, probably because there are no universally accepted definitions, especially when you start to cast your eyes outside the UK.
• Bachelor/Master of Arts: awards within the subject areas of art and design, humanities, social and media studies, health studies, business or management.
• Bachelor/Master of Sciences: awards within the subject areas of mathematics, science, social and health sciences, engineering, technology or their applications.
